About my header

My shed is my header by my son Darrell, He painted the Robin for me and said that it reminded him of me. Because Robins use other birds nest and if there is an egg in it, they will take care of it just like its their own. He said thats what I do, I have always taken care of others in need of a home when I come across someone in need. Isnt that Sweet, I had told him I wanted a bird and this is the one he chose. Robins have solid blue eggs which are the symbols for him and his brothers and the speckled egg are the others I have taken into my home. It was very touching to me because he researched his piece, He is a true artist and has lots of great jobs. my neighbor had hers done to

New Day New Lesson, Keep the mind young

Today it the first day of class that I am dedicating myself to do = +
 Pile O' Fabric

 Here is my Teacher, Mrs Lichner

My name is Alyssa Lichner I live in sunny Gilbert, AZ. I am a freelance web and graphic designer by day and blogging quilter by night. Pile O' Fabric is my place to share my quilting adventures as I conquer one Pile O' Fabric at a time!

I have signed up for alot for the first quarter of the year, I want to keep busy and not stare at the fabric I bought last year. I did pretty good for a beginnner with finishes and now I am being asked to join some groups, The first project that I started on I cant get it right, the herringbone block, ugh! its making me mad. 
if you want to join me in this free class, it has video's too, and it comes with one on one teaching also, Mrs. Lichner always answers me when I raise my hand. 

 On another Note:
I won most creative for the day for my pillows on the In a Word Blog Hop. I felt pretty good about that, My Uptown girl Pillow, thats her name. I wish You could see the stitching in the hair.. My best friend even said she read my blog that day.. Uhhh ?? she never reads it as far as I know. I should send this to her and surprise her, or make her one.. 

On a different Note: you heard that saying cant live with them and cant live without them!  

I hit the wall yesterday with sewing, all this planning and studying, failing on my first piece and its just a block. 

I went and got my gandkids I have a new
 saying, Cant Sew with them and cant sew without them. Now they gave me my mojo back, I am sewing felt food, 
I did a mini pot holder yesterday, I handed it to my gandson, Told him to go put it in his kithen,he is 3. He crinckled up his face and said.. I DONT HAVE A KITCHEN!!! I am standing there looking at the monster of a  plastic thing sitting in their room, KITCHEN.. its funny to me because he plays with it and tries on Sissy's shoes but ask him about it and he gets defensive.. I guess its natural for boys, becuase his dad, cooks and sewings.. My other 4 year old gandson, he likes barbies.. but dont ask him about them.
