About my header

My shed is my header by my son Darrell, He painted the Robin for me and said that it reminded him of me. Because Robins use other birds nest and if there is an egg in it, they will take care of it just like its their own. He said thats what I do, I have always taken care of others in need of a home when I come across someone in need. Isnt that Sweet, I had told him I wanted a bird and this is the one he chose. Robins have solid blue eggs which are the symbols for him and his brothers and the speckled egg are the others I have taken into my home. It was very touching to me because he researched his piece, He is a true artist and has lots of great jobs. my neighbor had hers done to

FEBRUARY HEXIE AND MODERN 4X5 HIVE

Get Your Hex On



EPP HEXIE BLOCK, ITS SO CUTE AND FUN. EACH QUEEN FOR THE MONTH MAILS EVERY OTHER 11 MEMBERS THE MATERIAL AND PATTERN, DIFFERENT WAY OF DOING IT, BUT IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM. I PROCRASTINATED LESS, PLUS I JUST LOVE EPP. 

NOW FOR MY 4X5 MODERN BEE HIVE BLOCKS, I CHOSE  PAPER PIECE CALLED THE  GEESE COUNTER-CLOCKWISE SPIN. ..OOPS ! ONE OF THE BLOCKS IS REALLY REVERSED. I JUST NOTICED IT WHEN I WAS POSTING. I USED THE PATTERN FROM PIECE BY NUMBER. CALLED A CIRCLE OF GEESE COUNTER-CLOCKWISE SPIN. ITS A FREE BLOCK AND FUN TO MAKE. I LEARNED A BIT MORE ABOUT ME AND PP'ING.. lol.....

TODAY IS MY LESSON ON MY NEW SEWING MACHINE, I AM REALLY EXCITED AND I HAVE A BUNCH OF PROJECTS TO CATCH UP ON, PLUS MY BEST FRIEND IS COMING TO VISIT AND I AM GOING TO TEACH HER HOW TO MAKE A WONKY LOG CABIN BLOCK FOR HER NEW GRANDSON. 
THE DALLAS, TEXAS QUILT CELEBRATION IS COMING IN TOWN, MARCH 8 THRU THE 10TH, IF ANYONE WANTS TO MEET UP AND HAVE A CUP OF COFFEE AND MEET FACE TO FACE, LET ME KNOW. IT WOULD BE FUN TO MEET SOME OF MY BLOGGING BUDDIES..
