About my header

My shed is my header by my son Darrell, He painted the Robin for me and said that it reminded him of me. Because Robins use other birds nest and if there is an egg in it, they will take care of it just like its their own. He said thats what I do, I have always taken care of others in need of a home when I come across someone in need. Isnt that Sweet, I had told him I wanted a bird and this is the one he chose. Robins have solid blue eggs which are the symbols for him and his brothers and the speckled egg are the others I have taken into my home. It was very touching to me because he researched his piece, He is a true artist and has lots of great jobs. my neighbor had hers done to

HOW TO TEACH YOUR BEST FRIEND TO QUILT

THIS IS A SWEET SUNDAY STASH STORY, LINKING UP WITH SUNDAY STASH LINKY PARTY !yEPPY !

2 YEARS AGO I BORROWED MY BESTFRIENDS SEWING MACHINE THAT SHE HAD RECEIVED FROM HER GRANDMA. QUESTION WAS, COULD I QUILT ?  I WAS EXPECTING 2 GANDDAUGHTERS,,, YEPPY !! ( I AM GANDMA, NOT GRANDMA) :)

NOW SHE IS EXPECTING HER 4TH GRANDSON ! AND SHE WANTS TO LEARN TO QUILT, I HAVE SINCE THEN PURCHASED MY JANOME !! YEPPY !!

Peak Hour Layer Cake

by Kellie Wulfsohn for Riley Blake IS WHAT SHE PICKED OUT. I thought teaching her how to make the Wonky Log cabin would be the best approach, I chose

Pure Organic - New Colors Fat Quarter Bundle
by Robert Kaufman Fabrics to cordinate with the bundle and this would also give her a great stash to start with.

I fussy cut 2 wheels together for eyes to make the baby boy a little "chew rag" is what I call them. I quilt it in minky and make little tags on it, you know how babies love tags.
We stayed up till the wee hours sewing and laughing !
The whole story is sweet because we had 5 days to celebrate 40 yrs of friendship, doing girl things.  I showed  her around to the quilt stores and it was a bloom of a new fabricaholic !! Yeppy !

Here we are at the spa, I had champayne, strawberries, and of coarse chocolate mini bundt cakes for us, we got the works and cool turquoise toe nails. We have been friends through thick and thin. I love her with all my heart. I hope she really finishes the quilt and loves the process, that will give us just one more thing to talk about, like we need more, LOL!!
