Precision Piecing (taugh t by Norah McMeeking on Craftsy
- This quilting class has in depth instructions on making the Stained Glass Window Quilt, with full pattern. Paper Piecing Precision, and Emerald Rings Quilt, WoW ! I got 6 patterns, and a class I can return to anytime it gives you all the tips and tricks.
- You learn funTerminology," like marrying the seams," " Spin the center " LOL.. Who knew I could say this after one class..
- Norah McMeeking engages you in the process too. You can see others asking questions and see the answers or you can turn that off, but I found it even more helpful.
Things I liked about the software format: For those who have never been on Craftsy....
The program is like MS word, so anyone can work it. I found this as an adventure since I didnt know how to read a pattern, But I do Now ! ( sorta) (mostly)
I love the note taking, it stops the video while you are writing and starts up when you hit enter and marks it so you can hover over it with your mouse and see what you wrote.. It even has SPELL CHECK !
When you leave the video, just exit and when you come back it will start up where you left off, ( I really messed with it to see if I could trick it up ) LoL , NOPE ! its smart.....
SUGGESTION
Print the paperwork first ! ( I didnt) then if you want to write yourself a note, jot it in the margins .Plus there is your PP Patterns.
What helped me out right away is getting rid of the bulk in PP...........
Sorry this is probably pretty wordy from me to you, but Hey, wanted to pass on some Knowledge for once ! Going to Pictures now..
