About my header

My shed is my header by my son Darrell, He painted the Robin for me and said that it reminded him of me. Because Robins use other birds nest and if there is an egg in it, they will take care of it just like its their own. He said thats what I do, I have always taken care of others in need of a home when I come across someone in need. Isnt that Sweet, I had told him I wanted a bird and this is the one he chose. Robins have solid blue eggs which are the symbols for him and his brothers and the speckled egg are the others I have taken into my home. It was very touching to me because he researched his piece, He is a true artist and has lots of great jobs. my neighbor had hers done to

MAKE IT RIGHT CHALLENGE FOR SIMPLE SEW

YOU HAD TO CHOSE ART GALLERY SOLIDS TO GO WITH ANGELA WALTERS TEXTURE PANEL, ALSO USE AURFIL THREAD, AND ELEMENT SOLIDS. USING THE ENTIRE 1 YARD PANEL. PRETTY EASY RIGHT.  I AM A COLLECTOR OF ART GALLERY FABRICS, NOT A HARD CHOICE FOR ME.

 I STARTED DESIGNING MY VERY FIRST PIECE. I HAD WON THE PANEL FROM PILOFIBRIC GIVEAWAY/ANGELA WALTERS. 
I WAS INSPIRED BY MANY PATTERNS AND BLOGGERS. BUT I KNOW WHAT I REALLY WANTED, I WANTED A BEAUTIFUL GRANDMA TOTE. I DONT CARRY A LARGE PURSE ANYTIME, I DONT USE POCKETS IN A PURSE OR DIVIDERS. I CARRY A PHONE, CARD, AND CHAPSTICK.. BUT I HAVE 10 DAYS WITH 3 GANDKIDS AT THE BEACH. AFTERWARDS, ITS USEFUL FOR WHEN THEY ARE WITH ME TO CARRY WHAT I NEED, WIPES, CUP, ETC.. 

THIS IS AFTER I DID STRAIGHT LINE STITCHING, ON THE OTHER SIDE ITS VERY CLOSE IN THE MIDDLE FOR A FOCUS EFFECT. 

ATTACHING THE INNERS TO THE BODY

I USED SOME VINTAGE BUTTONS I BOUGHT AT AN ESTATE SALE, THEY ARE REAL PEARL/SHELL, REAL HEAVY AND BEAUTIFUL

THIS IS ME TESTING HOW CLOSE CAN I GO AND THE EFFECT IS A VISUAL FEEL GOOD EFFECT DUE TO THE FABRIC AND THE STITCHING. 

THIS IS WHEN I WAS HAVING FUN WITH MY NEW JANOME SEE THE FLORAL STITCHING, AND THE BUTTONS AGAIN. 
THE INSIDE LINING AND NO RAW EDGES, MY MACHINE CAN HANDLE THAT. THIS ART GALLERY FABRIC IS LUSH AND SOFT AND EASY TO WORK WITH. 

ANOTHER FIRST FOR ME WAS THE CONTESTANTS WERE TO DESCRIBE YOUR PROJECT: DO I SOUND DUMB? 

No pattern, 17x15 dimensions, Apparel is a Beach Tote, Medium size tote with 37 inch straps  corded drawstring with Shell Button embellishment and floral stitching. Handles attached with D- ring. No exposed seams allowances, top stitching and used pellon 725R in handles.
Right Angle Panel used, full yard used
Aurifil thread used 2930 and 2150 50 wt
Pure Elements Mystic grey and Appletini


LAST CHECKED I WASNT ON THE BOARD YET, WOULD YOU KEEP AN EYE OPEN FOR ME, I AM TAKING 3 GANDKIDS ON VACATION AND WANT HAVE ALOT OF INTERNET TIME. YOU UNDERSTAND. BUT I WILL HAVE A GORGEOUS TOTE, EVEN IF I SAY SO MYSELF, IT FEELS RIGHT THE TEXTURE AND MY DESIGN.
