About my header

My shed is my header by my son Darrell, He painted the Robin for me and said that it reminded him of me. Because Robins use other birds nest and if there is an egg in it, they will take care of it just like its their own. He said thats what I do, I have always taken care of others in need of a home when I come across someone in need. Isnt that Sweet, I had told him I wanted a bird and this is the one he chose. Robins have solid blue eggs which are the symbols for him and his brothers and the speckled egg are the others I have taken into my home. It was very touching to me because he researched his piece, He is a true artist and has lots of great jobs. my neighbor had hers done to

SIMPLESEW HAS A LOVELY YEAR MARCH FINISH

A Lovely Year of Finishes

Well I didnt link this up in the beginning of March, why I dont know.. I remember taking the pictures, but since this Quilt has been in the works for awhile from EllisonLanes QAL 10/2012

I feel a bit stupid.. But Life has been busy for me and sometimes Hectic. But I love sewing with my Blogging Buddies so I am posting just not going to do the official link up for a prize. This Quilt was my first Quilt QAL too.
The Fabric was a bundle from Fresh Lemon Quilt, I did a PP angel in it to try, I did embroidery my name and Emma's my Ganddaughter and thought the  backing is from Chicopee but I didnt see it on google. Do you know?

I have been on Vacation, a improv sewing trip, and I just jumped on this WIP.

BELLA BINDING

Shelby my 2nd cousin wanted to learn to paper piece, this is her first time sewing and her first mug rug, she did a fabulous  job on my Janome. We used the yellow pages tutorial from Filminthefridge.  Way to go Girl, I hope this meant as much to you as it did to me.

Your Emma quilt is charming, I really love it - the backing looks like Flea Market Fancy. Yum.
