2014 SIMPLESEW LOVELY YEAR OF FINISHES.

I have a lovely finishes goal met, pat me on the back. LOL, IN fact I have 2 done, one from 2013 and one for this month.. I made this first one for my mom for mothers day. 

 EPP I love it, I have all these starter pieces that I want to make up into projects and here is one for my mom. See here I didnt make the blocks show up or the star but I was learning. 

 I added some stitches from my machine

I FINALLY FINISHED THIS QUILT FOR DJ MY GRANDSON, HE LOVED IT, HE HAS USED IT WITHOUT BINDING. 

 THE BINDING ON THIS QUILT WAS MY VERY FIRST QOAL IN 2013, I FINALLY FINISHED IT LAST MONTH.. THE IS FROM JENI BAKERS FLAG PATTERN .

I WAS SO DRAWN TO THESE FABRIC COLORS. I HAVE NEVER EPP BEFORE. I FOLLOWED AND READ ALL THE BLOG HOP POSTINGS LISTED ON QUOKKA QUILTS AND FOLLOWED THE TRAVELS AND IT WAS FABULOUS!! I LOVED, LOVED IT....... 

Then I was inspired by the Colors, picture, blogs ! IT HIT ME HARD !!!  THE 2 yr ANNIVERSARY OF THE DEATH OF MY BEST FRIEND AND SISTER N LAW FOR 25 YEARS PASSED AWAY FROM CERVICAL CANCER! THIS IS A PICTURE OF ME AND MY NIECES THE LAST TIME I SAW HER, I HAD GONE TO OMAHA, NEBRASKA TO SAY GOODBYE. THE GIRLS HAD AN IDEA TO MAKE THESE SHIRTS AND TAKE A PHOTO. 

I was MISSing HER, I LOVE HER.. THE PHOTO, THE COLORS ALL WOULD MAKE HER HAPPY, SHE LOVED SUNFLOWERS. SHE DIDNT DWELL ON THE PAST AND NEITHER WILL I, SHE ALWAYS SAID "oH well ! Can't change it, Lets do my nails !"

 I have been inspired to make this quilt using these English Paper Piecing Sunflowers I have been sewing on. I will make a Quilt.

Progress so far on a few of my WIP, EPP IS ALOT OF FUN AND ADDICTING, I LOVE THIS HOP, TRAVELLING PIC, PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER AND GORGOUS PIC AND BEAUTIFUL EPP.
