About my header

My shed is my header by my son Darrell, He painted the Robin for me and said that it reminded him of me. Because Robins use other birds nest and if there is an egg in it, they will take care of it just like its their own. He said thats what I do, I have always taken care of others in need of a home when I come across someone in need. Isnt that Sweet, I had told him I wanted a bird and this is the one he chose. Robins have solid blue eggs which are the symbols for him and his brothers and the speckled egg are the others I have taken into my home. It was very touching to me because he researched his piece, He is a true artist and has lots of great jobs. my neighbor had hers done to

In a Word Blog Hop at SimpleSew

Please jump over to "Buzzing and Bumbling" with Linda and give her a big thanks for all her hard work, for her being our Cheerleader.  Thank you Madame Samm at "Sew WE Quilt" for organizing such a talented, sweet group of artist.

I have seen some awesome creations in this Blog hop, and very  inspirational! Here is todays schedule for the Hop, please check out each blog and leave some love. Some of the bloggers may have giveaways.

Woolie Mammoth (Anna B.)
RocknQuilts (Mary Ann)
Celynn's Sunflower Patch (Celynn)

Quiltsmiles (Jane E.)
Feathered Nest Studio(Jennet)

I made a 16.5 x 16.5 quilted pillow sham, using applique, embroidery and quilting to give it texture and a heart so she will have life. For this Hop you are to express yourself in a Word or Words.
I bought a pattern from Carrie Payne at www.believemagic.com, her esty shop has fabulous kits. Now this isnt one, but it inspired me to make my own. I am looking forward to working with her kit that I did buy, especially her Girl Art Quilts.
Dearly and mostly I would say, I am a very devoted person. My friends become my family and very few people are strangers to me.
I have really wanted to play with some texty prints. Making journals and using applique. This is the year I am going to do it.
I love the printed fabric on the left, its sewing instructions. My mother bought me a bundle for Christmas from Sewmeasong on esty.

This pillow has more cute texty type print that I just love, all these wonderful words. I used a Paper Piecing tutorial by Susan Druding, Square in a Square. I could have used it in the current promotion Project Quilting but I forgot the deadline time.

So Now I have 2 wonderful Pillows
But Wait, thats not all.... I had to make a gift, most of what I sew isnt for me, except these pillows I am keeping. I made a sewing kit for my daughter n law, Erica, She designed her blog this week and you hopefully will see her in the future. Her Birthday is Jan 1st, and I made her this sewing kit and it has words.
More cute texty prints....... I cross-stitched Creative
